Pledging to weed out corruption if returned to power, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar today sought the cooperation of the people for information on corrupt public servants.
''We will keep the names of the informants secret and open schools in the houses of those found corrupt,'' he said at an election meeting here.
Kumar said his government had enacted a legislation to put the corrupt public servants behind bars and asked the people to return NDA to power with a bigger mandate so that the unfinished development programmes could be taken up.
He charged the Centre with adopting a discriminatory policy towards Bihar.
Attacking the previous governments of Bihar, he said the state had been pushed back during the 40-year rule of Congress and 15-year rule of the RJD.
''We have put the state back on tracks,'' he said.
