Scindia says Lokpal Act should be made applicable to states
PTI | 10:04 PM,Apr 16,2011Guna (MP), Apr 16 (PTI) Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industries, Jyotiraditya Scinida, today demanded that the proposed Lokpal act should also be made applicable to all the states of the country. Scindia told reporters here that the Center is serious over the issue of corruption and the same was proved with the Congress President, Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh agreeing to form a committee to draft the Lokpal bill. He demanded that the proposed Lokpal bill should be implemented in all the states of the country and also in Madhya Pradesh where corruption is all-pervasive. The Union Minister said that it is not proper to paint all those who are in politics and bureaucracy with one brush as there are many persons against whom no one can point out fingers. He also expressed confidence over the leadership of newly appointed Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President, Kantilal Bhuria and added that he would be successful in his Mission 2013 (bringing Congress back to power in MP).
