(if any law is being made then every citizen,big or small...including PM and President and their aide's must be accountable and come under its jurisdiction.In 2001,NDA'S TENURE,when Lokpal Bill was discussed in Parliament,this question arised that even President should be accountable(infact then President shri Kalam Saheb himself said that put President also in its jurisdiction.But my personal suggestion is .....it should be done with a clause in it...so that without 100% proof or evidence no one should take action against them.....then only this "trust deficit" will be bridged betweem aam janta and Powerful people of all spheres and one will follow them as a ROLEMODEL!!!

In fact, I am in favour of BJP's/NDA's earlier slogan "CHAAL,CHARITRA AUR,CHEHRA"...to be revived and included as a point or clause in it...as corruption is not only monetry!!...But then one need to differentiate between personal/emotional life and.... dirty corruptions.

So Pillai put almost all officials dealing with security clearances under surveillance. “We were able to identify the official from the way he spoke, and what he spoke,” a home ministry official said. Investigators also have Singh on video going to meet the broker with the security clearance order. The official recalled how the IAS officer would often throw the rulebook at people to give everyone the impression that he was a stickler for rules. It seems he was twisting the facts to sending a message to the corporate firms that he needed to be “softened” with a bribe, the official added.)....

MUMBAI: What does a cardiac surgeon have in common with a retired banker? Or for that matter a businessman with a college student? For four days from April 5 to 9, more than 30 people from different walks of life had set up camp at Azad Maidan in south Mumbai to join Anna Hazare in his campaign against corruption. While Hazare fasted in Delhi, they held vigil in Mumbai. And a week after they broke their fast, supporters said they have no intention of giving up the fight to free India from the shackles of corruption.

At a meeting on Saturday, Mayank Gandhi (52), the Mumbai coordinator for the Indian Against Corruption campaign asked citizens to get ready for a long fight against "some of sections of society who are carrying on a campaign of misinformation against the movement". According to Gandhi, the government is trying to discredit Hazare and the Lokpal Bill.

Cardiac surgeon Dr Ratna Magotra said she has emerged stronger after the four-day fast. "The issues being discussed in this forum are worth fighting for.," she said, adding that her family was happy about her decision to join the campaign against corruption.

Pune-based retired banker Sudhir Rao came to Mumbai to support Hazare. "This is the time we have to be vigilant as many have voiced their disapproval and their cynicism on the Lokpal Bill. I will carry on the campaign in my hometown," said Rao.

Hazare's message has reached not just senior citizens but even the youth and the working middleclass. Naresh Thakur (26), who quit his job at a multinational call-centre to work full time on the campaign, said he will be taking the Indian Against Corruption movement to schools and colleges. He said: "I never had any doubts on our success during the fast. Even now I believe we will overcome the powerful forces, which are trying to disrupt our movement.''

Change is in the air, said citizens who had attended the meeting, and the mood is one of optimistic determination.
