Bangalore: "There is a need for creative leaders for the economic development of the nation," said former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

According to Kalam, a creative person will have good leadership qualities in him and that will definitely help in the economic development of the nation. He was addressing the students and faculty at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) in an event organised to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the institute on Thursday.

"To be successful in life, students should have a particular aim and to reach that, they should find the route and concentrate towards achieving their aim," Kalam advised students.Talking about Vision 20-20, Kalam said,

"There should not be a gap between rural and urban. Basic facilities like water, power and quality health must be made available equally to both." Kalam requested MSRIT to take up the 'PURA' project in the city outskirts and to setup a study centre for research.Former president APJ Abdul Kalam at the golden jubilee celebrations of MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology. He can only guide india as a president of india, he cant do nothing else as the powers are with prime minister of india & political heads..! this is a great flaw of indian politicos..!

Dr Kalam, who says our 'leaders' are not creative? They have, over decades, funelled their creative energies towards finding creative ways to loot the nation. They have unparalleled expertise in this area and to paraphrase your statement, they "have a particular aim and to reach that, they find the route and concentrate towards achieving their aim," no matter whatever obstacle stands in their way.

I THINK WHAT HE IS DOING IS JUST ADDRESSING STUDENTS. NOT TO LEAD THE COUNTRY. NOT READY TO LEAD ANY MOVEMENT. KALAM IS KNOWN TO EVERY YOUTH IN INDIA. BUT HE IS LIVING IN A SINGLE ROOF.NOT COMING OUT YET. EVEN WHEH HE HOLD THE HIGHEST POST IN OUR COUNTRY, HE DOES NOTHING TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM. EVEN HE IS NOT READY TO JOIN THE ANTI CORRUPTION MOVEMENT.NOT READY TO SPOKE ABOUT ABOUT EVIL ELEMENT IN POLITICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE FIELD. HE KNOWS MORE THAN ANNA HAZAARE KNOWS.WHY HE IS SILENT ON INDIAS` PROBLEM. JUST SPEAK AT VARIOUS PLATEFORM DOES NOT SOLVE PROBLEM.IT REQUIRES A GREAT MOVEMENT. THAT WHAT ***HIJI TEACH US.
