An estimated 47 per cent of the 60.07 lakh electorate cast votes till 1500 hrs today in 26 assembly constituencies of Gaya, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Kaimur and Buxar districts in the sixth and final phase of elections in Bihar, defying the poll boycott call given by the Maoists. The polling concluded
at 1500 hrs in Bhabhua, Chainpur, Chenari, Sasaram, Dinara, Dehri, Karakat, Goh, Nabinagar, Kutumba, Rafiganj, Gurua, Sherghati, Imamganj, Barachati, Tikari, Nokha and Aurangabad constituencies which were declared Naxalite-hit.
The polling was still in progress in the rest six constituencies of Brahampur, Buxar, Dumraon, Rajpur, Ramgarh, Mohania, Kargahar and Obra.
