Veterinary University to come up in Bikaner

Bikaner: Bikaner will get a dedicated Veterinary University to serve the animal husbandry needs of the state. The varsity will give a fresh impetus to wool industry. In terms of wool production, Rajasthan is the number one in the country.
Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister Rajasthan, made the announcement.
Through research & development of technology at the proposed varsity, the state will become number one milk producing state of the country.
Many endemic breeds of cattle will be conserved in a better scientific way through research.
Research on the prevalent animal diseases of the region will be monitored in a better way. There will be better job opportunities for veterinary students also.
