IIT-Guwahati Students March Against Corruption

SAW A PLAY "KACCHE LAMNHEIN" OF JAVED AKHTAR SAHEB...LIKED IT.WAS HAPPY THAT MAIN MALE PROTAGONISTS NAME WAS SUDHIR!!!)

Guwahati: On Sunday i.e. on January 31, 2011 around 150 volunteers from Indian Institute Technology (IIT) Guwahati has lead a march against corruption. As per sources, they trekked 4 km from Sonaram High School to Latasil Field, a symbolic ground where the Assam government stages official functions including Republic Day parade.
According to the statement of Ravish Vasan, an IIT student and one of the organizers of the march, the two-hour event was meant to send a message to the government and bureaucrats that corruption will not be tolerated any more. He also added that their cause was voluntarily supported by various organizations. Moreover, the march was flagged off by social activist Meenu Choudhury and Vinay Khandelwal.
Furthermore, the marchers included members of Chinmaya Mission, Marwari Yuva Manch, Art of Living Foundation, Leo Club, Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti and students of Army Public School. The march in Guwahati was part of a national programme by a group of social activists and people from various fields motivated for a corruption-free India and seeking severe and transparent anti-graft law called Jan Lokpal. Besides, the march coincided with Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary.
