Imphal, Dec 27 (PTI) Congress today said it would fight the upcoming elections in Manipur with issues of development and unity in the state as its main poll plank. Talking to reporters here, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee president Gaikhangam said tickets to party candidates would be given to sitting MLAs who have no criminal records and other allegations. He said the pre-poll alliance of some parties was not of much significance as it indicated the other political parties were weak. Gaikhangam said the party would campaign on two issues of "development and unity" of Manipur in the forthcoming elections and expressed hope Congress would get absolute majority.
