Remembering the Hiroshima Tragedy
The site of the world’s worst atomic bomb attack echoed with choirs of people and the solemn ringing of bells praying for the souls of those who died back in the nuclear bombing. Washington sent Ambassador John Roos to the 65th anniversary of the bombing, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was also present on the occasion

With the gutted Atomic Bomb Dome as a backdrop, doves fly over the cenotaph of the Peace Memorial Park at Hiroshima, western Japan on Aug 6. Hiroshima marked the 65th anniversary of the world's first atomic bomb attack that devastated the western Japanese city at the closing days of World War II.
