SASARAM: Maoists blew up a school, a community hall and two health centres at Sarodag village in Bihar’s Kaimur district on Saturday night.

This is the second incident in a week when Maoists have blown up schools in Kaimur. About one dozen schools and community buildings have been blown up by Maoists in Rohtas and Kaimur districts within a fortnight.

On Sunday morning, villagers found three leaflets — one was addressed to the police, the second one was meant for the schoolchildren and the third was for the villagers.

Through the leaflets, Maoists urged the police to stop Operation Green Hunt. ‘‘Join us and serve the poor and downtrodden,’’ the Maoists ‘‘advised’’ the police.

The Maoists also warned that Ranchi SSP Praveen Kumar Singh and Ranchi SP (rural) Michael Raj S will be punished in a ‘jan adalat’. The ultras claimed that these officers had killed two of their members, Ashok and Suman, in a fake encounter.

The Maoists also said, ‘‘Schools are being blown up under compulsion because police use them as their camps during anti-Maoist operations.’’


(IS THIS EXCUSE OF MAOIST IS EXCEPTABLE???.....THEY WANT ALL TO SERVE POOR AND DOWN TRODDEN, AND THEN BUSY BLOWING OF INFRASTUCTURE....INSTEAD OF DOING THIS...WHY CAN'T THEY DEMAND SEATS/OPPORTUNITIES/SERVICES FOR THESE POOR AND DOWNTRODEN IN SCHOOLS/HOSPITALS....!!...VIBHA TAILANG)
