Many genuine voluntary organisations sell greeting cards or garments, etc, made by the poor to generate supplementary income for their own non-commercial activities or to provide livelihood. Such organisations suddenly find they have to pay tax on the entirety of their inflows, whether donations, grants or commercial revenue. This, clearly, is undesirable and needs to be remedied.
