KOCHI: On Sunday morning, you will wake up to a brand-new look that Team India will sport. MS Dhoni & Co will come out in the first One-day International against Australia in a new jersey which will be brighter, bolder and, as TOI has reported earlier, made from recycled plastic bottles.

In fact, each jersey has been made from eight plastic bottles.

"The new ODI kit not only looks great and delivers performance benefits, but is also made with recycled materials, creating less impact on the environment," said Ravi Kallayil, Business Director-Cricket Nike India Private Ltd. Nike is providing cricket fans an assortment of jersey replicas, including the authentic game day jersey.

In what should be a spectacle at the ground on Sunday, around 50,000 fans at the stadium will be wearing blue shirts and cheering for the Indian team. Fans can now also avail of the Indian team's training and travel gear.
