Mumbai: The Income Tax (I-T) department conducted raids at actor and producer Arbaaz Khan's office in Mumbai. This is over the money earned from the superhit film ‘Dabangg’.

The raid that started on Tuesday evening continued till 2 am on Wednesday. Arbaaz played down the incident and said: “It's a usual check. Obviously the film has done well, but it's a usual I-T check, nothing else.”

The I-T department raid was conducted in connection with the utilisation of money earned at the box office from super hit movie Dabaang. It is reported in a leading news channel in India that officials searched information and documents related to usage of money also.

The I-T team will prepare a report and submit it to the I-T director by the end of the week.

Arbaaz has been in the lime light after ‘Dabaang’ beat most of the records at box office. It was reported that the movie was super hit not only in India but also in overseas markets also. The movie reestablished the star status of Salman Khan in Bollywood and also gave a promising entry to Sonakshi Sinha.

Usually after success of movie, producers try to convert that money into white money without showing the transactions officially.

Notices had been issued to Sohail Khan Productions last year after they failed to file their income tax returns. Some documents and a computer were also seized by the I-T officials.
