Share CEC satisfied with poll preparations in Bihar

Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Oct 13 (PTI) Chief Election Commissioner S Y Quraishi today expressed satisfaction over preparations for holding the Assembly election in Bihar. Quraishi, who currently on a two-day tour of the state, said the Commission has taken strict measures for ensuring free, fair and peaceful poll. He was talking to reporters after reviewing the arrangements made for holding the polls in Tirhut division which figures in the second phase of polling in Bihar. "We will try to ensure that Central Para-Military Force personnel are deployed at most of the booths in Bihar," he said. Earlier, the the full Commission met representatives of political parties here and heard their complaints. Senior state officials also attended the meeting.
